Can County Assembly Members Dismiss County Executive Members?
Section
40 of the County Governments Act gives the Members of the County Assemblies
(MCAs) the authority to petition the Assemblies in order to have any county
executive dismissed from office. Supported by at least one-third of all the
members of the county assembly, any assembly member can propose a motion
requiring the governor to dismiss a county executive committee member. more
